Raising 4 kids is a wild ride thus far. I have been asked what transition was the most difficult and to be honest, I still think it was the 0-1 transition. You go from being completely independent with no responsibilities for other humans to having absolutely zero time for yourself. It’s very hard. Once you’ve made that transition, not much changes when you add more children to the mix (except maybe a little bit of your sanity and of course the cost). Once of the best things about having several kids is how they play with one another and work together. 75% of the time it is a beautiful thing and I truly hope that they rely on each other for many years to come. As an only child, this was incredibly important to me and why I wanted multiple.
There are quite a few things that have made my life a bit easier along the way and I wanted to share some of these things with you. Hopefully they can help make your days a bit easier as well.
You will also get a glimpse into some of our favorite family meals at the end of this post.
