In today’s world, where political, cultural, and ideological divisions seem sharper than ever — we believe it’s more important than ever to raise children who are curious, respectful, and open-hearted. One of the most powerful ways to nurture these qualities is by teaching our children about the many different faiths and spiritual practices that shape people’s lives across the globe.
By learning about a wide range of religious traditions, children begin to see the beauty in our differences and the shared values that connect us all: kindness, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, and the pursuit of peace. We want our children to grow up not only understanding their own beliefs but also appreciating the beliefs of others, building bridges instead of walls.
I laid out a blueprint below for our summer and how we plan on introducing different practices of faith to our kids. Especially now, in this climate of division and polarization, fostering interfaith understanding at home feels like one small, meaningful step toward a more compassionate world.
