Every year around this time of year I sit down with the kids and we go through the playroom and put together a few boxes of toys to donate to others. We also like to save a few unboxed gifts that they were given throughout the year to donate to toy drives near us. We try to incorporate more giving than receiving whenever possible.
We also try to keep the toys pretty limited in our home. This encourages them to be bored and venture outdoors to play and/or use their imagination a bit more. I have said this a million times but the toy they play with the most are magnatiles. They are currently in the living room building a HUGE town out of the magnatiles and other little toys we have lying around.
We also like to sit down with our kids and choose items from my holiday community giving list. So far I have two families that have created their wish lists for this year in case you want to sit down with your own family to help a family for the holidays. We also love to donate animals/food/etc. to our sponsored child’s village through World Vision.
Anyways, with all that being said - we do buy them a few items each for the Christmas morning. Below you will find the items that I plan to get for them.
I would love it if you commented in the comment section with an item you are excited to gift someone this year!
