Heyyyy ya!
We are currently at the Cape - surviving that 100 degree heat wave that came through! Was it that hot where you currently are?!
(no filter at the Cape)
We went to Wylder Hotel in Windham, NY for our girls trip last weekend and it was so beautiful and peaceful. There is a beautiful 1.5 mile path that’s right next to the hotel that we went for walks and runs on. There are saunas all around the property that you can reserve. Pickle ball courts, a heated pool, fire pits for smores, cornhole and more. You can rent mountain bikes. We even took a pickle ball class (included) on Saturday and I’d never played before. Needless to say, I am now a huge fan! I can’t wait to play again and I can see why pickle ball courts are popping up everywhere.
Below you will see part of the Windham Path - I plan to put together a little post about this trip because it really was spectacular and I have some great food suggestions.

READ || Broken Country | Clare Leslie Hall → I finished two books this week. Broken Country is a book that we chose for this month’s book club and it has a very surprising ending - I really enjoyed this one. I tried to listen to it on audible first but this is definitely a book I recommend that you read and not listen. It was hard for me to keep up with the date changes and such on audible.
READ || The Great Alone | Kristin Hannah → I am a HUGE Kristin Hannah fan and this book did not disappoint. This book is a hefty one (550 pages) but it was a quick read because of how much you get into it - highly recommend!
READ || I’ll Have What She’s Having | Chelsea Handler → I’ve been reading quite a bit these past two weeks and my friend just let me borrow Chelsea’s new book. I listened to a podcast a few months ago with her promoting it and it has NOT been a disappointment. I’ve been laughing out loud with many of her stories. One of my favorite quotes below —
“I was naive enough to think that centuries of misogyny and entitlement would somehow diminish in the span of a few cultural and political movements. Apparently evolution takes a long time, intergenerational habits will take eons to turn around, and the planet will most likely explode before that happens. Instead of a major reconciliation between the sexes, Roe v. Wade was overturned, which seemed very clearly to be a repercussion of the #MeToo movement. If women were going to start telling on men, then we would need a very strong reminder by men of who was really in charge.”
READ || What the 1990s Were Actually Like (And Why You’ll Never Get it Back) | Kelly Oxford → “This will either make you nostalgic for a time you never lived through or convince you that we’ve accidentally created the most sophisticated torture device in human history and you’re all just walking around pretending it’s normal.”
READ || We Don’t Have to Give In To The Smartphones | NY Times → 62% of parents wish TikTok had never been invented / 73% of parents support delaying social media until age 16 / 39% say they gave in to social pressure when giving their child a smartphone
Have you all heard of Evie Magazine? It’s a conservative “Cosmo” type magazine and they now have a campaign that aims to “ditch the pill” and this is all part of banning birth control - get more on that here. It’s wild to me that we live in a time where political pundits pay influencers to peddle nonsense that pushes their narratives.
Looking for the perfect blush that blends right in for a summer event/party? I’ve been digging this pillow blush in rosy rest.
If you can get yourself out to a Treehouse Brewery in Massachusetts, I highly recommend these Strawberry & Basil drinks - delicious! 👇🏼
Have you read about Paloma Shemirani? The 23 year old Cambridge graduate who was diagned with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and given an 80% chance of survival. She died 7 months later after she refused treatments under the influence of her mother who was a nurse turned wellness influencer. Her mother had survived breast cancer after having surgery but had credited alternative therapies instead. THIS IS THE DANGER OF THE WELLNESS COMMUNITY on social media - it cannot be overstated.

Amazing news out of New York City this week - way to vote!
Increased screen time linked to aggression, anxiety, low self-esteem in kids
The American Academy of Pediatrics just said that it will continue to recommend it’s own childhood vaccine schedule regardless of what RFK Jr.’s AICP recommends - THIS is what is so needed right now. Stand up! “We won’t lend our name or our expertise to a system that is being politicized at the expense of children’s health.” — the group president
Healthcare as we know it is in a straight downfall. I mean, what the fuck. Let’s hope someone grows a backbone and keep protesting!
48-hour screen-time experiment: What happens when kids have no limits
RFK Jr. suggesting that all Americans need to have wearables that “track” their health sounds like a dystopian nightmare. 👇🏼
As I mentioned before, I am a new fan of pickle ball and I am going to try some golf lessons soon - this outfit is very affordable and cute on!
Choice Bracelet - 35% of proceeds going to The Center for Reproductive Rights
I’ve been using these open earbuds and I love how I am still aware of my surroundings while out on walks and runs - they stay put too! Thanks Bose!
Wearing this daily now that it’s summer and hot as hell
